Gesture and color are related to the idea of freedom that contains the nature and upsurge of images and sensations experienced in the past. Wind blowing in the trees, wet rocks, windy fields, melting snow in meadows, the smell of pines, cold summer on the Baltic sea, rocks in altitude, sea in the fog, the sun after the rain, blazing sun in scrubland, shinny seracs... Reminiscences of travels, flashes of childhood landscapes, walks memories... All these images and these sensations combined with colors, are raw materials for these mental landscapes. They represent deposited and forgotten moods that suddenly reappear and finally come out quickly. They are mixed with present moment atmosphere. This peculiar moment when brushes have to fix them. They are nothing but polychrome, impulsive and (almost) childish flashes of lights, tracks, marks of sensations that I try to fix on canvas through gesture and color.
